re: Let's talk about Tom Brady's last 8 playoff losses

I'm here to remind people that Brady won a Super Bowl MVP throwing for 145 yards and barely getting his team in field goal range to win the game
No INTs and the winning dive wouldn't have happened without him. Also he was a first year starting who spent the entire offseason and preseason as the #2 QB. It doesn't make moving the ball that distance with zero timeouts less impressive. They wouldn't have won the game without him. He also is single handedly won the 2004 Super Bowl and that is the point, manning has never been the catalyst. He is during the regular season and for most playoff victories but he is penciled in for a collapse one playoff game per year. That year his defense bailed him out of one horrid game and 2 meh to below meh games
And he gets more shite because
1. He's the better QB
2. He is regarded as the GOAT
3. Brady has never had a game as poor as a handful of Manning's choke jobs
Period.
Manning is better. Tom is more consistent in the playoffs.

Why not? They won the AFC Title game without him.

That picture is pretty embarrassing for Brady. A great qb should produce more prowl bowl receivers and tight ends than that

There are several average players in that Manning pro bowlers list. I see the rookie Julius Thomas is on there. You think he's a pro bowler with Colin Kaepernick as his qb?

We covered that picture 100 times. It does more to show manning opens the game up and is better overall for the players around him. You see...the QB distributes the ball and opens up the running game. Therefore, when more people who are on the receiving end of his work make the pro bowl that says more good than bad about manning no?
Now show the defense and special teams pro bowlers and all the head coaches in a picture now.
Yeah...
I don't expect one either...

Ha, Julius Thomas is a 4th round pick out of Portland St. He just played his first NFL season this year, and Peyton MADE him an all star.
Do some of y'all think Joseph Addai is a pro bowl player if he plays for the Miami Dolphins?

Where is a list of the pro bowl defensive players on the same team, pro bowl kickers on the same team, and HOF head coaches on the same sidelines. Well, I guess Dungy is going to get in the HOF thanks to Peyton.

I really don't understand how people can use playing with Harrison and Wayne as an argument against Manning.
They are/were very good receivers, but their careers are linked to Manning. They are as much a product of playing with him as he is of playing with them.

Removing the LONG snapper and Manning has played with EIGHT pro bowlers on Defense and on the Lines in the last 13 years - half of which for ONE year.
Brady = NINETEEN
So let's stop this pro bowl nonsense. Especially considering the Pro Bowlers on the offensive side of ball in "receiving" positions HELPS Manning.
Oh, and Brady also had the GOAT as his coach the entire time.

In the 12 seasons he has played in his career (throwing out the year he tore his knee up in Week 1) he's lead his team to 8 AFC Championship Games, 5 Super Bowl appearances and won 3 Lombardis. That is a fricking phenomenal resume.
And Manning, under 4 different head coaches, has led two different franchises to a combined 10 Division Titles, 4 AFC Championship Games, 3 Super Bowl appearances, (with THREE different coaches), and won a Super Bowl.
That is a pretty phenomenal resume as well considering Manning hasn't had the benefit of playing his entire career with one of the greatest head coaches in the history of the NFL

Give it a rest. These threads are getting old. Nobody sucks like Manning in the post-season.
People saying that is getting old too
All the "GOAT QB" conversations are getting old. There's been enough the past month to take care of the next 5 years

And there's the Manning side argument. All people need to know is that whoever they like more, they will consider the goat and spit out stats that say their guy is the best

If you put manning next to the greatest mind in football, I think they'd be the most dominant pairing in modern day NFL or possibly all time.
Not to take anything away from Brady because he is an elite QB, but Belichick runs that team.
You saw it this year in the playoffs, Belichick took the ball away from Brady and they pounded the daylights out of Indy this year and Brady became a game manager.

Holy hell, 19 for Brady and 8 for Peyton. How this is even an argument is beyond me
Posted on 2/4/14 at 4:11 pm to lsupride87
Couple that with having the greatest coach of all time and people can start to see how Brady could do worse in the playoffs than Manning throughout his career yet have more wins.
It's simple:
Brady gets TOO much credit
Manning gets TOO much blame

The next argument will be:
Brady had borderline-probowlers, Manning had HOF-probowlers
Brady had borderline-probowlers, Manning had HOF-probowlers
