No to the death penalty.

I don't think the kids deserve to be punished for the crimes of 4 men.

He will.

The problem he has is this has moved beyond the sports world into the homes of every American.

You have women who dont watch or like football that know about this. If the NCAA doesn't act, and hard, the question you will here from our lame media is...

"What good is the NCAA if they can't reprimand a program for harboring a pedo for decades"

No, but everyone involved with the football team and athletic department at the time should be removed.

Great. Give in to mainstream media and public outcry and punish unjustly.

Death penalty will NOT happen.

the freeh report, beginning on page 62 details the incident involving Victim #8 that 2 janitors saw, discussed and reported to a 3rd. it also describes the mcqueary incident involving Victim #2, which is a separate incident. it also outlines that mcqueary told his father and his father's supervisor (who was a doctor) about the incident. it is also noted that this matter may have been discussed later, between mcqueary's father and univeristy VP of finance and business gary schultz w/ regard to the past due amount on a lease involvling a business that mcqueary's father worked (page 67).

perhaps i erred in saying "assistant coaches" plural. at least one assistant coach, mike mcqueary, knew.

No. Completely unfair to paint the entire university in a negative light because of 2-3 people holding information back.

The guy was caught because someone FINALLY came forward.

My guess is there's probably not an entire university molesting children every day.

as opposed to doing nothing and letting decades of molestation and cover up go unpunished?

people can say it until they they are (navy) blue in the face but i will never view the current players or coaches or fans as the victims in this case.

lulz.

He was caught because one of the parents fought their entrenched system of coverups and lies.

Not because one of those in the coverup came forward.

The victims are going to get paid by the University. The money that the athletic department and football generates will help fund these lawsuits.

These are very different circumstances. Just bc those ppl in power didn't do what they should have we should give into mainstream media?

You think only 4 people on that campus knew over a more than a decade coverup?

yes, and it was individuals not associated with penn state. in 2009, the mother of Victim #1 notified the high school her son attended in Clinton County, PA that he was being abused by Jerry Sandusky. The school notified police, as they are required to do, which started the investigation.
