Recruiting college freshmen would be the biggest thing if you can only transfer once
How can you legally restrict an individual from seeking an education at different universities while also playing sports for those universities?

None of this will fly.

I've had the idea that you should be a bit tighter and more punitive on the transfer. If you transfer, great., but you have to sit out 6 games in your first year and those 6 games have to be consecutive and have to begin at the midway point in the season.

Also, no more buyouts for coaches. You get fired, you get a severance equal to one year of your negotiated contract. Also, I would ban paying freshmen or recruits any NIL money until they produce or prove they could produce.

Yes, adding government is the answer

You don’t seem to realize this, but NCAA has lost all ability to govern their sports. NCAA is not respected and no one follows or acknowledges their rules. At the same time, the two biggest clown rules in sports history passed (NIL and instant transfers). It is mayhem in college sports.

Federal government getting involved, I think this may be the best thing they’ve done for my life in 20 years.

I do not see how this can pass legal muster though.

You are essentially asking the federal government to force an individual, potentially against their will, to work for/attend a certain school.

You cannot do that.

The cat is out of the bag.
