That is a lot of pressure and a Game 7 win will still be incredibly difficult.
-2x MVP looking a bit fraudulent (I'm still a fan, though)
-Game 7 after leading by 3-1
-70 win season
-If CLE wins with a healthy Irving, puts an asterisk on last year's title
-GS had ALLLLLLL the hype coming into the playoffs

I guess there is a lot of pressure on both Lebron and the Warriors.
It will be interesting watching the first quarter of game 7. The Cavs are playing inspired and confident. The Warriors have to find a way to rebound from all of this. I think Lebron and Kyrie have mind fricked the Warriors so bad though in the last two games. It will be impressive if they can bounce back.

I've already hit my threshold for new NBA Finals threads for the day, but I think it would be an interesting discussion as to who has more pressure.
LeBron is always under immense pressure in the Finals, particularly an elimination game, so while it is incredibly important, it's no different than Game 5 or 6. On the other hand, the Warriors are on the verge of being the first team to lose a Finals series with a 3-1 lead and they're looking for public validation of their regular season.
Perhaps the best way to sum it up is this:
If the Cavs lose, LeBron's Finals performance is mostly forgotten.
If the Warriors lose, their 2015-2016 season is mostly forgotten.

Nah as long as he doesn't shite the bed Sunday he'll have a good shot at MVP, and most people expected them to lose the series anyway.
The Warriors are the ones who have more pressure IMO. For all intents and purposes their 73 wins will be irrelevant to most fans if they lose. Their legacy is on the line.
Don't get me wrong, they both have a ton to gain Sunday night, but the Warriors have more to lose.

IT is. its really not even debatable.
agreed. some will point to a series that jordan or shaq had, but those lakers and bulls teams were by far the better team and didnt need the 40 points a game out of those guys, the chips just fell that way.
neither the bulls nor the shaq lakers teams went past a game 6 in series they won.
lebron is carrying a much inferior team on his back against the greatest regular season team of all time.

Game and rules are different. Stats are not the end all be all.

Win or lose it's clear LeBron is the goat. You all have AIDS

Fair, but these stats are harder to come buy in today's game than they ever used to be. Wilt Chamberlain averaged like 27 boards per game in the Finals one year - that shite will never happen again.

His GmSc for the other night is a Finals record.

Win or lose, he deserves the MVP award and his performances from the last two games will be remembered as some of the greatest in NBA finals history.
If Klay Thompson goes for 30+ and the Ws win he should also get MVP.

If GS wins it would have to be Klay for MVP from the Warriors if he has another big game, right? I can see LBJ winning MVP though.
I am actually rooting for the Cavs to win. I like GS, but they got one last year and I really feel for Cleveland
I went from really enjoying watching LBJ for Cleveland to not liking him because of The Decision to now back to enjoying his play. He's having an unreal string of games.
I do have to say in regards to GOAT Finals talk: Games 1, 2 and 4 LBJ wasn't looking so confident, having lots of TO's, and that whole thing with Green had many thinking it was over and LBJ was whining and their only chance now was because Green got suspended. They were down 3-1 and you certainly weren't thinking LBJ was dominating at that point.
But Games 3 and especially 5 & 6 he's been awesome. If he has another 40+ game or 30+ with a triple double and they win you'd have to say GOAT Finals. If they lose I'm not sure if you can say that. To be GOAT you have to win. MJ has the GOAT Finals unless CLE wins and I'm hoping that happens even though I'm a huge MJ fan

Yeah I agree with all of this. The thread is kind of an "up to this point" conversation, but if they lose it is all moot.

To be fair, nothing good comes from Cleveland.
