Yeah but asking me to list LSU's 2008 depth chart proves that it's normal for LSU fans to not know where Kenyan Drake played college football when they hear his name.

You're a joke

He’s high IQ. his memory recall blows people away. you can find story after sorry about it. He insulated himself and surrounds himself with his guys. Who probably don’t challenge him much. So some of his views are whack. But he really is a smart guy.

Most athletes can recall plays with great detail, especially less than an hour after the game. I used to work at a restaurant and this former athlete who would frequently patronize the restaurant could recite all of his stats from his playing days at UK. It's not that uncommon among athletes. He might be intelligent, but he, like many others don't use critical thinking. You can be book smart, and have an "amazing" memory, and still be stupid.

Maybe if his dad (if he knows who he is) gave him some attention, he wouldn’t try so hard to get it everywhere else..

LeBron James owns significant space in the collective mind of the MSB

Well the nba is the only thing going on right now other than hockey and you aren’t gonna find many people on an LSU/SEC message board that follow hockey

, what?

You said no one seems to be wondering why LeBron is always in the news.

This guy in this very thread wants to know why LeBron is always in the news.

going through formal schooling is all about memorization and recall.you don’t have to be “smart” to be a straight A student. If you have a good memory. So why does it matter if he doesn’t have a formal education. Oh you memorized a few history facts and he didn’t. The man negotiates deals for hundreds of millions of dollars and some of his ‘educated’ detractors prob can’t even negotiate a 5% raise at their job.

ETA: lebron sucks to me, but one thing he definitely is a smart guy.

He’s also a huge tool that has everything he does plastered all across the media which is not necessarily his fault but after “The Decision” people are always going to think he’s seeking attention

He was smart enough to stay in the lowly east damn near his whole career. Had he been on the stacked west he would be viewed much differently.

LeBron is bashed for a historic run in the " weak" East yet the Pre enshrined HoFer Tatum/ Celtics young core slurped hard for their playoff run. An East run anchored by a 10 year playoff veteran , 5 x All star / 2nd team All NBA defender in Al Horford( Irving early in the season)

Yet the Lakers young core are bashed as " complete trash" ( Pelicans fans) for winning 35 games in the tough West anchored by the young Nance / Clarkson/ Randle triumvirate . Also Ball / Ingram missing over 50 games.(Not you in particular Boom as you seem to actually like the Lakers young core from recollection).

That Celtics team he beat last year was a team full of career backups or guys in their first couple years in the league. not an impressive series win at all. I do like the lakers young guys lonzo and Ingram. Don’t care for kuzma. Hart is a rotation guy. decent bench piece kinda guy.

No one was scared of Lebron last year. The fear levels of having to play GSW made Western teams gunshy as buyers and caused sellers and a strong buyers market out East. The Bucks/Raptors didn’t give up jack shite and Philly makes that move for Harris it Lebron is still in that conference.

It’s not the arrogance. It’s misplaced arrogance. The blood was already in the water last year.

What’s sad is that politics has infiltrated every facet of your life to the point that you can’t even discuss basketball without taking a snipe at those you disagree with

He actually wanted to know why LeBron can't shut up.

And even then, that post was made after your first post, so ...

Sounds like the Lakers in the "tough" West last season without a Kyrie( early in season ) & Horford on the roster . I acknowledge the Eastern conference weakness last season.

I just scoff at the notion that Pelicans fans view the Lakers youth as " complete trash" & are high on the Celtics based mostly upon the Eastern playoff run & the " eye test". Otherwise I don't believe there's a significant gulf between the 2 young cores.

I don't think any level-headed NBA fan can argue with this, but I haven't read the thread yet so let's see.
