Tour was boring other than the crashes in the first week

Need to bring back the tiny Italian dudes like Ricardo RIcco who were juiced to the gills and would sprint up the Alps and the Pyranees.

Idk why but I always get a good laugh out of Tejay's interviews. He's very blunt in his answers. He'll get himself a few yellow jerseys soon enough.

Been there, done that - just about killed the sport. Still might eventually. Hope not.

Marco Pantanni was always a great source of entertainment. But this years tour wasn't as exciting none of the "big boys" went for it. I blame US Postal and Johan for ushering this racing where it's okay to not win a stage.

Sky isn't nearly as boring as U.S. Postal. You would have never seen Lance Armstrong doing leadouts on sprint stages. I fully expect Wiggins to pull the peleton through the 1K banner tomorrow en route to setting up Cavendish for a stage win in Paris.

All of Armstrong's Tours were more boring except for 1999 and 2003. American cycling fans, in particular the 1999'ers, are the only ones who thought those Tours were exiting.

Yeah Ullrich was never really that big of a challenge for Lance.

Did you notice how far Cavendish went out? He was at least 300 meters from the finish, but Goss still couldn't come around and actually lost Cavendish's wheel as they approached the finsh line. It's really amazing when you consider that everybody in the world knew exactly what Sky was going to do today, but there wasn't a damn thing any of the other teams could do to stop it.

Cav was pretty much like frick this shite, im taking off. when you're the best sprinter in the field, I guess there isnt much to be worried about in that situation. Sagan had a nice finish but i think he waited a little too long to make his move

That was Indurain's MO as well. He has far less stage wins than the other five time winners. Postal kind of perfected the model, but it's not their design. That's been cycling for 25 years.

Congrats to Wiggins. It's great to see a Brit finally win the Tour. Well done.
