I'll be really pissed if nothing happens today.

At least the "maillot a pois" will be fun to follow though, Voeckler is trying to make a push for it.

Nibals will attack on the last climbs and try to extend it on the decent. He's probably the best decender in the world right now

Yeah and even he is able to join them on the descent doubt he'll have anything left for the final climb because it's going to be a helluva battle.

ETA: and the above scenario just happened. Evans dropped early on the climb.

Considering how well he did last year, I wonder why Voeckler didn't ride for the GC instead going for breakaway opportunities. To finish as high as he has in so many breakaways, he had to have had good form coming into the Tour, and he proved last year that he could hold his own with the best climbers in the world on the toughest mounatins and that he was a better time trialer than the Schlecks.

I believe he was having problems with his knee coming into the Tour - tendinitis. Dropped out of Criterium du Dauphine & almost quit earlier in this year's TDF, but stuck it out.

Well tomorrow should be the tale of the tour.
It's Nibali vs the 1-2 combo of Sky.

I find myself pulling against the Brits.
Either Froome is doping, or he deserves the chance to win it outright. It would be a shame if he has the form to win the Tour, but his team prefers Wiggins.

Plus, Nibali is trying to do it all on his own.
I'm just hoping for something dramatic tomorrow.

Prefers? You're new to following the sport, right?

Alright here we go.

Visibility is pretty bad right now on the first descent, gotta be extra careful here.

Nibali decided to take the initiative early on.

The other guys in the echappee are not too happy about Nibali being there , he diminishes their chances since Sky will be riding hard.

Valverde convinces Nibali to stay down and he does He was about 30 secs ahead at that point.

ETA: Nibali seems to be more interested in winning the stage than trying something bold.

Nibali dropped, but he's safe on the podium. Wiggins working hard to give Froome the stage win...going to be close.

wow Sky looking confused as frick there at the end, wtf was that about?? The yellow was safe idk why they called Froome back. Froome has been very very professional.

NO.
Prefers to protect Wiggins in the yellow jersey is what I meant.

Perhaps Froome could have put time into Wiggins several times this tour, but we'll never know because Sky had a bird in the hand. Today was another example.

It's just disappointing when the two best riders of this year's tour are on the same team. Froome never really had a chance.

This tour suffered not having Contador and A Schleck. Those two challenging Wiggins and Froome could have led to some exciting climbs. Might would have seen exactly how strong Froome was.

Sky showed today that it is all-powerful, best in the mountains - best in the time trials and best in the sprints. Andre Griepel and and Peter Sagan should thank the SKY D.S. for making the yellow jersey its main objective because, neither one of them are a match for Cavendish when he has a team working for him just a little bit. He doesn't need the turbo-diesel train of HTC-Highroad which was really overkill for him. How demoralizing it must be for the other sprinters to know that with the yellow jersey secure, Sky will relegate them all to racing for second place on Sunday.

But one thing I don't understand is why Sky gave away a stage yesterday. Once Nibali cracked and Wiggins had the race under control, why not let Froome catch Valverde and take the stage win? Were they afraid that he might take the yellow jersey from Wiggins? Their interviews last night made no sense at all.

Cav showed once again that he IS the boss , would have won many more stages indeed, had it not been for team SKY making the yellow the top and only priority.

That was very puzzling, no reason at all why Froome shouldn't have won that stage as a consolation prize for being such a good team player. Made absolutely no sense, Nibali was long gone.

Exactly. It was easy to see that Froome was stronger. He kept "accidentally" dropping Wiggins and had to wait. It seemed like a condition of him getting the stage win was to pull Wiggins along with him.

Wiggins is a great TT rider. So why would losing a little time on the last mountain stage to his teammate matter? Image?

We might see Froome go to his own team next year so he doesn't have to Tote Wiggins to another Yellow Jersey.

Congrats to Team Sky - dominating performance throughout 2012 TDF. Plus Cavendish wins final stage tomorrow!

Kudos to Voeckler on the KOM, Sagan with Points, Radioshack with Team win (how with all of their problems?), and Tejay on Best Young Rider. With Tejay & Taylor Phinney, US cycling has promising future on the big stage.
