Actually Voeckler would have finished on the podium last year if he hadn't lost his mind in the valley between the Galibier and Alpe D'Huez.

Voeckler and Voigt on a break. That's probably my two favorite guys on the Tour. JENS!

My dad has a house near the col de madelaine, i have absolutely no idea how these guys climb like they do, driving up it you see loads of people trying to climb it on their bikes starting more than half way up an they still give up

Cadel and TJ attacking the dopers from Sky
Posted on 7/12/12 at 9:01 am to usc6158
yup very interesting, sky keeping him somewhat in check so far though.

Rogers doing some crazy work wor Sky today.
Looks like VDB wants to scrap a few more seconds off his deficit but he's way too far back.
Nibali trying to get some back as well.

lol Froome just attacked in the final 5 kms, dropping his leader Wiggins in the process. WTF??
ETA: maybe he was just testing Evans and Nabali.
Pierre Rolland with the win.

Pretty interesting stage.
Evans couldn't keep pace.
Frank dropped as well.
Nibali looked strong on his attack charges, but he was too far from the finish with everyone still being strong.
Froome might want to hide the doping a little better. He cracked Wiggins by accident.
Maybe Froome should be the Sky team leader.

Froome could very pull a "dick" move and erase that deficit after what he showed today.

Something just isnt right about Sky, they are all peaking at the right time. They may be the only team to have trained "correctly". I guess it is cynicism but they just seem to be to ready and in shape.

No Brit has ever won the tour, but this year they're a dominant 1-2.
Or should I say 2-1, after what I've seen from Froome.
Maybe we're underestimating them.
Wiggins might have placed well last yer if not for the crash.

And in other news Andy Schleck is officially out of the Olympics.

Wiggins looked shot when Froome attacked, i know he builds up speed - similiar to Evans - but he really looked dead on his feet at that attack, made me think Nibali and/or Van den Broek didnt try to re-attack but i guess they were shot.
Also what do people think about BMC? is this one bad day for evans enough to promote TJ to team leader? even though he has had bad days himself

I don't think so, Evans had the right mindset but he attacked way too early.
I doubt we see anything interesting tomorrow, though it's the longest stage. The difficulty will be in the first half of the stage (2 cat 1 cols.) 14, 16 and 17 should be fun...hopefully.

lol @ Wiggins attacking, maybe trying to show who the boss to Froome?

I didn't get to watch yesterday's stage until last night, but ordering Froome to pull up on the attack is one of those things I know is tactically correct, but still ticks me off. If Froome is stronger, he should win the race. It just reminds me of Hinault and LeMond.

The whole thing was very awkward including the post stage interviews.

Didn't witness this classic.
Today's stage is boring, the biggest threat in the echappee is like 25 minutes behind so no one is doing work in the peloton. Wiggins' semi-attack has been the only highlight so far.
Posted on 7/13/12 at 9:43 am to castorinho
It's what got me into the Tour. Back then, ESPN only had a 30 minute highlight show, but it was still easy to understand LeMond crying at the finish. He got hosed by his teammate.
This wasn't nearly on the same level, but it still bothered me a bit.

LeMonde was the up and comer Benard was the man. Hineault IMO didn't hose LeMond, his team did under orders.
