White: Remco (Lipowitz if Primoz crashes out in the 1st week like always) Polka Dot: Johannessen (long shot)
Lipowitz in strike distance even having to hang back for Primoz today. Tobias is too high in GC to win Polka dot
Also this Tour is over, Pogacar is just playing with them. No reason to even attack anymore

From today’s stage while the rest of the group is in the red

Baby Hulk showed out today, I think the gamma ray therapy is working.
I do think Tadej circled today's stage when the route map came out. I predicted a 33 minute climb but he did it in 35:08 which was slower than Riis' 34:38. I do think Pog could have broken into the 33s if someone had been pushing him and maybe not so hot. It was reminiscent of Lance putting the huge gaps on Jan back in the day.
We are seeing greatness on the road.
How much is
And how much is
We may never know... and I hope we dont.
Posting the GCN graphic reminded me I have been meaning to post this. One of the best visual explanations of crosswinds and echelons I have seen:

He will attack for stage victories, he is nailed on to break the record over next couple of years, he likely ends the tour on 22-23 and would have atleast 5 years to break it

Interesting that all the favorites except for Pog are riding TT bikes
Roglic was climbing in aero basically the whole time

Vingegaard was 20 something seconds faster than Primoz, and Pog was 24 seconds faster than that. They're going to throw bottles of piss on him if he keeps this up

That was a fantastic ride by Jonas and he still got slaughtered
Pog didn't open his mouth the entire TT.

I think the problem is it has been a long time since we actually saw Pog grimace. He has one of the best poker faces in cycling and it helps he arrely has to use it.
Remco suprised me today as did Jonas for opposite reasons. While there is a lot of Tour left I did think Remco would get the best of Vingegaard but Jonas and Visma are in good form. I knew the chances of my prediction coming true were poor when we saw him off the back and alone for a lot of miles yesterday.

14 minutes to 10th and 4 minutes to 2nd
o/u on final time between Tadej and the field?
Edit: The helicopter shot of Remco and Jonas last .3km was hilarious. Remco truly shite the bed with his new bike

I didn’t pay attention to what Remco was riding. Was it the Specialized TT bike or a modified SL8 with TT bars? I guess I was too preoccupied with Jonas’s lid.

SL8 with TT cockpit

During that last km we did get some good shots of this guy:

Yeah they were saying on Lance's podcast that Specialized doesn't do an aero bike so he had to ride a modded SL8. Does specialized not make the Venge anymore? Seems like that was THE dentist bike a few years ago
Posted on 7/18/25 at 6:17 pm to Ingeniero
Specialized stopped making the Venge in 2020 I think, and made the SL7 as the all-around, one-bike-to-rule-them-all, followed by the SL8 in the same role.
But I think a new Venge is on the horizon based on the new Roval wheel releases.
Specialized does make a TT bike (Shiv?) that Remco used on the Stage 5 (July 9) time trial that he won.

He will never win the TdF, he’s soft. Got dropped today first mountain and retired. Talk about imploding

Jorgenson just dropped like a stone as soon as the road went upwards, will likely lose a lot
