I am sure BVD didn't make the decision by himself. It really makes La Tech look stupid. The whole school admin needs an overhaul.

Pizza is contracted to the MAC and Big 10 so they didn't have to take Tech.
Pizza Bowl probably thought that since WKU is closer they have a better chance at putting butts in the seats.

The truth of the story is that they declined the bowl strictly b/c they felt like they were above playing ULM. Some kind of NLa dick measuring contest.
But you have to understand that LaTech people are pretty delusional. They recently still believed that they had a good chance to play the Cotton Bowl.

Good God. The guys on LaTech BBB are morons. Some there are saying that the Indy Bowl screwed Tech because Tech wanted more time to see if something better came up. Indy told us to piss off and moved on.
