1945 AP Poll
1. Army 9-0
Outscored opponents, 412 to 46. Unanimous No. 1 choice by all 116 voters in the AP poll. Led country in total offense (462.7 yards per game). Fullback Doc Blanchard won 1945 Heisman Trophy. Four consensus All-Americans: Blanchard; halfback Glenn Davis; tackle Tex Coulter; and guard John Green. Part of 32-game undefeated streak covering entire 1944, 1945, and 1946 seasons.
3. Navy 7–1–1
Lost to Army on December 1 in battle of No. 1 vs. No. 2. End Dick Duden was a consensus All-American.

Won’t happen, but what chaos and fun it would be if both get to the Army/Navy game with a CFP spot on the line

i’m not even sure that can happen..
the game is Dec 14 and the playoffs start 12/20
how would that work if both are undefeated.. even though that probably won’t happen

The actual Chaos is if even one is undefeated going into the week. They would play in the AAC championship on Dec 4. The playoff selection would happen. Then do they just forfeit the Army/Navy game? Well that would put them at only 11 games. And a loss (due to forfeit) would likely affect their standing as the top G5. But the selection would have already had to have happened, so would it even matter? Do the other G5 teams then have a legitimate gripe since they all played 12 games? Do they just play the Army/Navy game and be at a disadvantage 1 week before the playoffs? What if the undefeated team actually loses the game?
