They should have spent a little more time actually going into detail about how they cheated for the avg person that doesn’t understand blood doping

If you haven't read Tyler Hamilton's book "The Secret Race" it's really fantastic and goes into the details on how the doping tactics changed as they couldn't just pump full of EPO.

Stages 19 and 20 were shortened due to landslides and hail during the middle of stage. Those were supposed to be big, long, brutal mountain stages.
The trend is towards some shorter mountain stages generally because there tends to be more attacking early and is more exciting.

All the shorter stages are TTs, brutal climbing stages or the loaf into Paris. The TTs are hell for GC contenders the last crank of the pedal over the line has to be the last one you have in you.
When you watch the current grand tours where there is far less doping they tend to be boring because the recovery times are too long to be able to go hard every day. The peloton looks like the autobus most days. The points classification is fairly exciting but the GS classification has been boring.

If I was laying on a cancer bed with my friends in the room and I admitted to a DOCTOR that I had used and those friends had heard because I had trusted them in that incredibly vulnerable situation and then they went under oath to disclose that....I’d want to destroy those frickers.

He was a dick. But he raised hundreds of millions for cancer research, he seems like a decent dad and he only cheated at a euro dominated pussy sport. He’s good in my book now that he seems humbled.

They all covered it up for a VERY long time. Andreu's never offered any information to the media prior to the documents getting eventually leaked. And then they only stood by their statements as truth.
Not sure how you find issue in them coming clean under oath to not perjure themselves and potentially go to jail. They didn't seek anyone out ala Landis and Hamilton, I think you're confusing them.
You'd expect people to go to jail for you while you were lying and defrauding people? You realize he's admitted to that right?
