Divisional round then. That seems to be the ceiling for Jackson. That team will not be a serious contender for the foreseeable future.

And what would they have been if they him walk and went with well who would they have at QB

And they will be serious contenders over the next 5 years with Ridder or who exactly?

This thread is almost indistinguishable from the reaction threads you get following a recruit signing with another school on TR or SECr

“Okay good luck being 5th string”

“Wasn’t that good anyways!”

“He’ll be in the portal in a season or two!”

It is hilarious, let this sink in, Lamar Jackson is the highest paid player in the NFL.

I'd take Anthony Richardson on a rookie deal over the next five years over Jackson on this contract and would not even hesitate.

I'd have rolled with Huntley and tried to load up around him. Since the rookie wage scale was introduced, that's a more proven winning formula than signing any QB not named Mahomes to one of these mega deals.

Mahomes is the only QB since 2012 to win a Super Bowl after signing one of these big contracts.

More than Hurts got apparently. Playing hardball worked out for him in the end. I'm surprised by that.

Their first offer that he originally turned down was more than Hurts. He wanted every penny guaranteed.

In the end, Baltimore was bidding against itself.

The guy is a really good player. Not that shocking.

Anyways Burrow will take the title soon so you guys should calm down and just wait through this pain lol

It'll be Ridder.

And I think he is gonna make a lot of people look very stupid over the next 2 -3 years. Plus Arthur Smith can coach.

While I’m happy that Lamar got paid, the contract will frick the Ravens moving forward.

..and the potential injury history is concerning since his running ability far exceeds his passing.

Which is why I don’t get NFL GMs. It’s like they are too scared to let an above average player walk instead of being smart with salary cap money. I still want to see a reputable source give contract details

AFC North now has as its starting QB's:

Burrow
Pickett
Jackson
Watson

It'll be a fun division w/those 3 playing each other twice.

Remember when this board was absolutely convinced that Lamar was stupid and would never get what he wanted and was losing money by the day
