They're close to the same scoringwise and Lonzo's better on the glass and distributing.
I know the Lakers hate is strong, but Lonzo is arguably the 3rd best player in the Lakers deal too.

honestly, lonzo and SGA are having pretty similar rookie years value wise. what sga gets for being more of an overall efficient scorer, lonzo makes up on the defensive end

Lonzo was .305, .016 worse than SGA. They aren't very far apart, and if the best argument for SGA is free throws...look, the Miami pick has value, but is isn't even very clear SGA is better than the third best player in the Laker deal.

The Miami pick is better than anything the Lakers have.

FWIW: I was told that Rich Paul and AD Sr. were masterminds of this whole plot to get AD to LA. And told #Pelicans org. hasn’t liked this one bit. NFL mentality there; they don’t want to give AD what he wants. Never say never, but would be very surprised unless LA blows them away
