re: Lafayette Christian Academy. What’s the real story on this new football powerhouse?

If you’re going to the Dome that’s not something you really worry about… John Curtis has never had their own stadium, you think that’s stopped them?

I honestly don't care where they play. I just don't know why they don't have their own stadium when other smaller catholic/private schools have them. Edit: So, they play in Rayne too? My point above just sounds better. Get your own stadium and you won't have to worry about scheduling around other teams
You obviously do care retard - you made 5 posts in this thread talking about it. Where would you like for them to build this stadium? Because they can’t do it at the school and they also don’t have someone like Jake Delhomme as an alumni to pay for it like Teurlings did

That’s going to hurt VC and abbeville as well
You think people who would otherwise send their kids to VC are going to send them to the new charter school? I know a ton of people who send their kids to VC and this is very unlikely

Who's going to the Dome? Notre Dame? Lol, they haven't been in what...six years? and they won't be going back any time soon.

They possibly could do it behind the school if they spent some money removing some of the older buildings and renovating it. Might be a tight squeeze with parking but I went to a Teurlings game two years ago and if you don't show up early, there's literally nowhere to park. There's lots of land in South Crowley but who wants to build a stadium there?
I'm sure Tommy Casanova could fork over a little bit of money but where did St. Ed's, VC, Highland Baptist, among other small schools, get their funding for a stadium?

What old buildings could they tear down?
Yea I’m sure Tommy made as much money as Jake in the NFL in the 1970s
You obviously don’t have a clue what you’re talking about and have a grudge against ND from your post above
And why would they spend the money on that if they football program is going downhill according to you

If I recall, there were some old looking buildings on the right side of the field, looking from the school.

Which former alumni funded the fields for St's Ed's, VC and Highland Baptist? Speaking of which, have you seen VC's field? It looks just like ND's practice field (if they spruced it up a bit) with houses all around and hardly any parking.

Never said it was going downhill. All I said was they weren't winning state anytime soon. They won't beat LCA and give it 2-3 years and LRCA will be running up the score on them too.

Wouldn't be surprised if LRCA beats ND this year.

So I am lost. Who does not have a field, and what old buildings?
Are we discussing the LCA field? Also, where is LCA located in town?

So you want them to spend money to have a just above shitty looking field with no parking instead of continuing to play at a nicer facility where they pay to play and it doesn’t hurt anything except your feelings
Also when were all those other stadiums built and what does it cost now compared to then?

“Catholic Education” them cocksuckers from Notre Dame are the worst ones. Grew up with them my whole life. Cook has won his titles off steroids and recruiting. Funny how 80 kids are dressed out every year and enrollment is at its lowest.

It's a place they can call home that no one else can. I just think it's pretty hilarious that these little 1A private schools can find the funding and property in similar, or smaller cities but Notre Dame can't.

Notre Dame’s campus was very poorly planned in hindsight. All these other schools: STM, VC, TCH etc. have a shite ton of land around them to build stuff. Notre Dame is in the middle of a damn neighborhood with nowhere to expand. Also funniest part about this hole thread is that “Crowley Highs football stadium” isn’t even on Crowley Highs campus. In fact Crowley high is much farther away from the stadium than ND is

So your kid goes to Teurlings? When's the last time they been to the Dome?
I will hang up and listen...

They cheat in Lafayette if you are a good athlete, you go to LCA or STM look how everything as gone there the last 10 years.
LCA and STM get the kids and then win with them and the more you win the less {cheating} recruiting you have to do
STM isn't exactly teeming with great athletes.

VC should be really worried about the charter school opening up in Maurice. That school is going to really hurt their enrollment as well as North Vermillion.
