What is his recruiting pitch going to be?
"My mom has already forgotten more basketball than most people will ever know..."
Sorry if too soon.

That should remove any doubt on his coaching abilities then

ok maybe Obama and pretty cool being in the same sentence is a stretch.... but he has meet 3 more presidents than I
and who knows if he can coach...just pointing out his photo reel is pretty stacked....

In other news, ULM has also hired a women's hoops coach.

How bout dem techsters? Never thought a summitt would be on tech sidelines because when I was growing up they were a big rival of ours. Really young coach but we will see if he's worth it.

I wonder what his salary is

A little early, but I've known Tyler since he was young. He knew more about the game when he was 14 than I knew as a senior in college and I've followed the game most of my life.
I feel he will prove the doubters wrong. Tech is a great place to cut his teeth as a head coach and then make a move to a top tier program. If he doesn't have the Lady Techsters in the sweet 16 within the next four years, I will be stunned.
I think Tyler is the rare coach's kid that can find a great deal of success. He shadowed Pat his whole life. It's like former UT men's aide Mark Pancratz said today, his knowledge of the game surpasses his age. On the other end of the spectrum, his mom is one of the top two all-time coaching greats in the women's game and arguably the greatest female coach of anything of all-time so there will be a lot of eyes on him, but he will be just fine.
Once upon a time there was a 23-year old coach that built a program of dominance. I will be eager to see if Pat's shadow follows the same path!

There's no way this is legit. Women's hoops was the one thing that school did well and had tons of pride in.
