Gross hit to watch but Kyler and others who do that last minutes lay down are just begging to get sent into another universe and there’s not much a defender can do

I just saw the clip and the defender is literally only a few inches from the ground he's so low. Kyler creating the contact with his head is on him 100%

Not driving your forearm into his head isn't asking that much. It's obvious he knew the quarterback was going down or that forearm woulda went over his head

Or he was going for a low tackle and due to Kyler putting his helmet in the way the defender reacted

Kyler is the one who put his head that low.

Driving your forearm into a ball carrier isn't a legitimate tackling technique unless you're trying to blow out knees or cause concussions

Rewatch the video

Until Kyler moves to create that contact angle, the defender is in a normal tackling stance. The defender reacted to Kyler's actions

This is 100% on Kyler for going low like he did

With his forearm.

Wouldn't have happened if Kyler didn't move himself down into the defender's line.

All the defender did was react

When you run the ball in the nfl, that’s the risk you take.
