That doesn’t look like a guy trying to smash his forearm into a helmet. It looks like a guy pulling his arm in to hit with his shouldn’t and avoid getting hit in his chest.

It absolutely shouldn’t have been a penalty. That wasn’t close to the definition of a QB slide. Completely legal hit
