No it doesn't. It doesn't even sound remotely close. She dropped an N bomb and needs to own it.

Damn that was hard to watch from Doc Rivers. You know him along with many others don’t want to play a game today.
I feel like a part of my childhood died today.

Normally I would agree but she absolutely said the n-word with a hard R. You’ve gotta be deaf to think otherwise

“Nakers” lol ok

People on Twitter are posting a slowed down version of it that shows she said exactly what she says she said...and are still claiming she meant a slur.

It's a shame that people are focusing on this non-issue during this tragedy. Does anyone think she actually had the n-word on the brain and it slipped out? Extremely doubtful.

This.

I can’t tell you how many times I shot that fade-away in my driveway as a kid pretending I was Kobe. Hours upon hours. A lot of people’s idol passed today

Of course because intentionally dropping an n bomb while reporting on the biggest sports story in years seems totally legit.

I think it’s more likely she said Knickers right?

I keep thinking I’m starting to process this and I see his picture and it hits me like a ton of bricks. He was easily one of my three favorite athletes.

I’m sitting at a bar watching this and I honestly feel like breaking down when they show him and his daughter. He loved her more than life itself. I have two daughters and this shite hits you where it hurts.

No she didn't. Stop looking so hard. It isn't there and it's weird.

Why does she need to own it? She misspoke in the middle of a huge story and literally corrected herself mid word.

It's a somber day. I feel for his family. It still doesn't seem real. He always seemed like a guy that was going to be around to be an ambassador for basketball forever.

We're going to keep seeing a lot of this

What has happened is tragic. I am heartbroken for Kobe’s family.
He was a sports hero. He was also a rapist.
And all of these truths can exist simultaneously.
