I mean MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said they were optimistically looking at MLB cranking up by possibly mid/-May, and that we would have MLB baseball this year.

I think we're going to get restaurants and most businesses open in a few weeks, but sports are gone for the year.

This guy also predicted Miles to Michigan.

Why is Kirk Herbstreit out here giving Pandemic predictions anyway?

If these players aren't doing some kind of self-workout off-season program at home, then they are morons who deserve to lose in the fall.

Nothing else going on in sports might as well create more shite to yell at eachother about

You have to factor in team preparation though.
How the frick do you expect people to compete without practicing? And this time of the year is usually when they qualify at multiple events and such.
I think the NFL will be played, maybe delayed.
CFB won't have the luxury to wait it out and canceling the whole season isn't that far fetched.

Another year to celebrate the greatest college football season of all time.

Yessir! 19th anniversary of that 2001 Miami team.

I hope not. Pretty sure he hopes not too. But who knows at this point?

2019 LSU..................2001 Miami. It's not that close.

To play devils advocate, I could see where the season could easily be affected though.
Barely any spring practice.
No summer.
The first game is what, the last week of August? Are we really going to have enough practice/conditioning, say absolute best case everything resumes in 6/1, in 2.5ish months?

Or there will just be extended fall camp that starts earlier in July. Which is likely what will happen.

I could see that. Like NFL OTA style.

Each college team could easily cut a cupcake game or two from their schedule if needed

LSU reigning champs 2 years in a row

Ehh, each powerhouse college team could cut a cupcake, but could the cupcakes afford to be cut from those schedules? Don’t those mercenary games almost pay for a lot of schools’ entire athletic budgets? It’s easy as LSU fans to just consider how all this affects us, but there’s a huge trickle down effect. This thing is really fricking us up.

Hopefully this blows over by then. We will all be depressed.
