False right now. Give him 2 or 3 more years and I think it could be true

Lebron is definitely the best in the world.

Also Lebron has better stats than Durant.

This seems like an odd time to start this thread, as Lebron dominated Durant defensively yesterday and controlled the flow of that entire game.

Let Durant and Lebron guard each other for an entire game. The results will speak for themselves, and they do not favor Durantula.

You cannot always make this situation. When Kobe and Shaq were the two best players in the league, you cannot just match up them for a game (even ignoring when they were on the same team) because the best players may not defend each other.

If I was starting a team he would be my first pick.

50/50 on who ends up being better IMO Griffin or Durant... IMO neither one is on their present team in five years and either one could end up being diminished due to unexpected injury (like Tmac)

Well, Durant and Lebron are more likely to guard each other than a C and a SG. Both are a three guard/forward combo.

The point is that matching two elite players against each other that play the same position is a good indicator of who is better. Lebron is better than Durant.

right now lebron is number 1

kobe/durant and wade are all 2a, 2b and 2c in some order

lebron simply has more of an all around game than the other 3... and the first person to mention his scoring is down this year shows how little they actually know about basketball

I don't see why this is so funny. Even if you hate Kobe, lifelong Celtics fan, and think he is way overrated, then there is no way you could put him lower than fourth assuming you go LBJ, Wade, KD.

It is fine to hate Kobe if you want, but he is pretty incredible any way you slice it.
