LeBron is no doubt a better and more effective player than Kobe right now. A couple of years ago maybe this would have been an argument. But right now, it's not close. Don't start this argument with him.

does kobe rebound

When Kobe shot only 25% in Game 7 last year against the Celtics, he started focusing on rebounding more instead of missing shots and pulled down 15 boards in what is likely the biggest game of his career. Sure Lebron is a better rebounder, but look at the difference in size and role in the offense. The Lakers have Gasol, Odom, and Bynum to bring down the vast majority of their boards where as James is second on his team in rebounding to Bosh (excluding Haslem who has only played 13 games). Like you said, it is not all about stats but the roles they have and how well they execute them for the effectiveness of the team.

Either way, they are both phenominal players, but I currently give Kobe the edge. FWIW, I thought Lebron was definitely the better player during last year's regular season, but I changed after seeing the playoffs (not Lebron, but more Kobe's dominance in the postseason, especially against the Suns).

This seems like an odd time to start this thread, as Lebron dominated Durant defensively yesterday and controlled the flow of that entire game.

True, how can anyone that watches basketball feel this way after Lebron owned him all day head up.
