I don't watch ESPN, but this (understandably) popped up on my news feed among the different athletes I follow. Is this guy some kind of Great Value Skip Bayless regarding idiotic takes to drum up views?

The idea that people run track because they "aren't good enough to catch a football" is ridiculous. Track and field athletes become specialists in their sport, not because they "aren't good enough" to play other sports.

The knock on most track guys who play football is they can't catch

It’s easier to all of the OT regulars that post here. They all run 4.3 40s with beer guts.

most of it was overwhelmingly rational

you have a few retards that took it to extremes both ways, some saying you should be able to run under 20 min easily, and others acting liking running 29 minutes was some super human feat

but overall it was pretty levelheaded, I thought

There isn't a guy in the NFL or any other sport, with no matter how much training, that could give Bolt much of a challenge. Bolt also makes 20M+ a year and has for over a decade. Athletes compete in track and field professionally cause they are the best in the world at it and can make a great living without risking massive injuries playing a gladiator sport like football. It's not a tough choice..

Coleman is slower than Bolt but would still destroy any NFL player in speed

Someone should tell Kellerman that boxing isn’t a real sport because the real athletes play football instead of going into boxing.

I swear he used to be fairly good TV.

Then he went super liberal which was pretty lame because liberals aren’t fun to listen to. And then he went super liberal hot take machine.

Bolt alluded to that fact when a NFL player challenged him to a race. He says everybody wants to get to the top but they have to climb the rungs of a ladder to get there. The top sprinters that Bolt was beating regularly are that ladder and all of those guys would toast any NFL player in a race.

Skill wise. All you do is run around the track. It's hard to be in shape and train for it. No doubt about that though.

Nothing wrong with listening to people who don’t see the world the way you do. You might learn something you didn’t know previously.

Kellerman’s problem is that his arguments are goofy. Even when I agree with him he never articulates his position in a way that makes sense. And no, this wasn’t always the case with him. He used to be decent. He is now terrible.
