I could see CU ending up with Harsin by December

It was just a matter of when after the AD's statement a couple of weeks ago. They haven't even been competitive this season.

Yep but if they don't want another retread I wonder why they don't just try Calhoun from Air Force. He's been in state running a better program for the last 15 years.

No good coach is going to touch that job. It's basically the Washington Commanders of college football.

I don’t understand why they were so quick to fire Mike MacIntyre. He had them in the Pac-12 CG and gave them their best season in more than a decade.

Maybe but it feels like Calhoun's name has come up for bigger jobs for a decade and he hasn't gotten a taker yet. He's 56 and this might be his chance to jump.

Worst P5 hire since? Charlie Weis at KU? Buddy Teevens at Stanford?

To be fair, Dorrell was kind of a panic hire after Tucker left them high and dry.

That said, the next guy will still probably be a stupid hire.

He was pretty shitty all the other years though. His last year they probably thought they were good because they started 5-0 then they lost out.

Right. MacIntyre had 6 seasons there. It's not like CU just got an itchy trigger finger because they were underachieving. They weren't good.

And he lasted 3 seasons too long.

In retrospect they probably would be better off now had they given him one more year (mainly b/c that stops the Tucker backstab that led to KD) but I think most schools would fire their HC w/his record and the way they collapsed in his final season.
