Agreed. He just wanted to dip his pretzel in her sweet cinnamon ring.

No, the State assessed they couldn't get a conviction. Has nothing to do with whether what he did was right or wrong.
He is innocent until proven guilty.

With today's media, people tend to forget that small but important piece of information

I'd think it's obvious and doesn't need to be said but I'm not so sure...innocent doesn't mean a person didn't commit the crime in the literal sense.

Correct. But you have already stated:
quote:
I believe he didn't rape her either.
And I believe the same thing. So it seems like you are arguing just to argue.

I think they are hoping to publicly pressure him into settling by using the media to try him again knowing their civil case will get blown up just like the criminal claim. Whatever shred of dignity this cleat chaser had left is rapidly going to get flushed.

I believe one thing, but I'm also open minded and understanding nothing is certain in this story, so there are other angles that could be so no matter how much they are unlikely.

That is the constitutional standard. So was OJ, but we all know he actually did it.

Throughout the entire process the accuser's family/lawyer have been trying to play to the media through statements, etc.

This. I believe the accuser's attorney is continuing to push for her interest. It appears she sees this as her Johnny Cochran opportunity.

For several reasons, led by TPD's behavior, this case is too murky for me to form a concrete opinion.
I do think the witness affidavits seem artificially fabricated. It's also odd that Casher later admitted he entered the room intending to have sex, while his detail-heavy statement said he wanted to prank or joke with Jameis. Given that she said he entered the room to tell Winston to stop, we now have three very different reasons for the roommate bursting in. Doesn't sit well with me.

He also said he video'd the act, but later discarded the phone
That video would have been huge in helping his roommate beat a rape charge. Unless of course, it wouldnt have

He is guilty as hell...witnesses, DNA, physical signs, evidence of force, her credibility is solid. etc!

A DA with almost 30 years of experience and his team of investigators spent roughly a month looking into this case. If they say there is nothing that supports a rape conviction, then I believe he didn't rape her.
I don't think Meggs would say that. He'd say there's no chance of a conviction. And that's a pretty big distinction.

It is difficult to ascertain sarcasm in these forums.
She has no witnesses.
There is very limited evidence of force.
Her credibility is far from solid.

shame on you. Seriously as a life long seminole fan Im embarrassed by you.
You have no idea what happened that night. A woman made a bad choice and ended up in a situation she didn't want to be in. Did she say no, was she forced. No one but her and Winston really know.

Oh you mean the fact that she didn't have teammates who all got together and collaborated on a story?
Did Winston's teammates get together and fake a toxicology report too?

This really makes it seems they are out for attention/money/publicity/whatever. There's no reason to smear this kid if it's been decided by the law that he did nothing wrong. They need to move on.
Because you know exactly what they're going to say and everything
