Olave would likely be a second rounder this year. I don't even know if Metchie would be drafted.

You like that Olave had less catches, less yards and less YPC than Metchie?

What’s with Alabama fans and hating on Metchie.

And 190 more yards on those 5 catches. All while being second fiddle to Smith, who was A bit of a deal.

Again in 6 more games played you skipped over that part

That makes Mechies job easier, not harder

I am not sure Smith is even the best WR on that Alabama team. I believe Waddle was and Smith started to get the big run after Waddle was hurt.

I think that guy was just unaware of how good Olave is, and was including Waddle into that “top 4” discussion despite it not really making sense given he was hurt, and then just kind of painted himself in a corner with this Mechie over Olave take and wants to die on that hill apparently.

3/4 of the people on here couldn't work for me as a GM if they are seriously gonna take Jones before TLaw and/or Fields.

Olave would have been the fourth best WR on Alabama’s team maybe

Mac -350 at my site. Fields +120. Shitty odds.

I don’t like it / lots of questions about this kids work ethic - could very well be the next Haskins

You’re right the #2 WR gets all the targets.

Maybe. Or it could be a disaster if he doesn't substantially improve on the pre-snap reads and handling the blitz.

This just isnt true. I've watched a ton of fields and he is very cerebral. He sets his protections and hot reads for the line and receivers. Hes great at identifying coverages and blitzes.
He has shown the ability to go through progressions.

I mean,I literally took time out of my day to watch him pre snap and watch him get through progressions in 3 separate games.
There is absolutely no doubt that he understands the game, coverages, setting protections ,and going through progressions at least as good as the other 3 guys I watched.

It's their, I promise, just go watch it.its stuff that you dont look for when watching the game,so if you dont go back and look for it ,its understandable to not know if hes good at it or does it at all even.

Just go back and watch a couple drives in a game and you should have a change of heart

They get plenty when the other team is soley focused on trying to prevent the #1 WR from getting the ball

I cannot believe you’re still trying to keep this up

I cant Belive you think a #2 WR is gonna get more looks than a #1 WR.

And let’s not even talk about how Metchie wasn’t even the #2 WR till about 4 games in.

I didn’t say he was going to get more looks, I said he was going to get easier looks and plenty of looks. Teams game planned to stop Devonte Smith, not Metchie

Olave is getting #1 WR coverage and still put up nearly the same stats in SIX FEWER GAMES.

This isn’t debatable.

You don’t even want to talk about the SIX GAME DIFFERENCE in the games they played so why do you now want to talk about Mechie not being the WR2 for 4 games now?
