That case opened my eyes
I was in my early twenties and bought hook line and sinker into the case against the players. I haven’t trusted any media since and only watch live sports on ESPN.

The push behind that case today would’ve been 100x worse

Lol sad but true. It would be known as the “MAGA rape case” instead of the “Duke lacrosse rape case.”

Their defense attorneys were awesome. I love the part where he lays out the timeline.

In the beginning of the Duke lacrosse case, on April 5, 2006, Joe Alleva forced Duke lacrosse coach Mike Pressler to resign under threat and faced criticism for his handling of the case. In 2008, Alleva announced he was leaving Duke for the athletic director position at Louisiana State University.

and LSU couldn't wait to hire that piece of shite.

Biggest goddamn understatement in history.

Alleva led the fricking angry mob. Disbanded the team and fired the coach. That fricker should hang with Nifong for pushing that bullshite.

Yep, and just like with Jussie, you would have had a big name Democrat pol like Kamala Harris going on every news channel talking about how virtuous the whore is while these boys were clearly lying due to their privilege. Sickening knowing the lies these people are able to peddle with no consequences.

Just look at how that coward Nancy Grace remained employed.

I despise that loathsome woman. That she had a platform, as large as she did, and used it to destroy those boys' lives is purely unforgivable.

I'm not even sure she ever apologized for getting any and every fact of the case wrong.

I agree...because I believe a crime happened and they got the DA put in jail.

The 30 for 30 convinced me even more when none of them agreed to be interviewed or give a comment. You have the right to remain silent and they did...lesson...if you are arrested..."I want my lawyer!"

A bunch of academics at Duke who went to the media and called students at their school evil, racist rapists faced practically no professional consequences

Along with numerous media members, half of Duke's faculty, most of Duke's administration, and most of the Durham police department.

The most amazing moment, in my opinion, was when the lacrosse player gave a heartfelt speech from memory to turn the tide of public perception.

You realize the "victim" is in jail for murder and recently admitted she made it up right?
