Josh Shaw rode the fast track from hero to zero in less than 24 hours. Hopefully he'll learn from his mistake and turn things around. He's a talented football player, but that doesn't give you an endless supply of mulligans.
In the mean time, I'm more concerned with how our young secondary will hold up without him. We have talent to burn, but we lose a lot of experience in Shaw.

It has nothing to do with the fact that he goes to USC dumb arse. He lied to make himself sound like a hero when he was actually running from the cops. He could have gone to any school and it would have been a story.

The lie isn't so bad, but when the lie was to cover up burglary or a domestic dispute it is. Police were called to the complex because of some woman screaming bloody murder.

We may be rare in your neighborhood, but trust me there are loads and loads of true, dyed in Cardinal and Gold wool USC fans; very few of which, if any, are advocating the recently revealed actions of Josh Shaw. He acted like a dumbass, and I don't think you'll find many Trojans who support that. He brought discredit to himself, and to the program, by extension.
It's embarrassing, but this kind of thing happens to almost every major CF program at some point. They're made of of young men and sometimes the decision making process of these guys isn't on a par with their considerable athletic prowess.
