Like I said, Pastner is one of the worst of all-time.

Pastner should go recruit at UH for Sampson and build a monster
Posted on 3/3/16 at 8:17 pm to BayouBengals03
Pastner had no business being hired at that time.
The thing about Memphis it doesn't need to leave the city to be too 25 yearly and yet he still can't figure that out.

No he needs to stay away from Houston at all costs.

Isn't that where he first got involved with the AAU circuit?
Posted on 3/3/16 at 8:22 pm to BayouBengals03
Yes but he needs to be kept away from Houston for selfish reasons

He coached the Hoops when he was in high school. His dad is a legend here
UH might not have a basketball program after him and Sampson but it would be incredible

His father basically ran/runs the Houston AAU circuit iirc

Rumor going around is that Penny Hardaway would be the guy.

Houston is just dying for probation with Sampson. They can't get out of their own way.
Posted on 3/3/16 at 8:26 pm to buckeye_vol
Penny will be a disaster like the Kirk and Finch probations were

Which happens first? Houston probation with Sampson, or SMU more probation with Larry Brown?
Posted on 3/3/16 at 8:34 pm to BCMCubs
SMU probation was bull rap
It was over a class not even needed for admission
Houston is more likely to get rung up because the NCAA will get mad some school other than a blue blood is winning.
If Memphis gets Penny they'll get hit also.

Worth it.

I don't mind it but the timing and not allowing them to play this year is what's so wrong. I can't remember a time they've enforced a probation the same school year.

LSU's coach has a lot more talent, at least at the moment, now some would say that is the exact point, Josh has not recruited, but still LSU's coach has the #1 pick and they should not, if there is any semblance of fairness, make the tourney

Lol at Memphis thinking they deserve a good program.
I'm not huge on Josh, but you have a fricking trash program. Cal is a fraud.
UNLV or Memphis?
They are about the same. Wait, no they're not.
Memphis is a solid basketball program with a very strong following in their city. Unfortunately they are stuck in a bad conference along with UCONN. I miss the old CUSA when it had Louisville, Memphis, UAB, Cincinnati, and Marquette. Pearl could win very big there but it needs to be in a respectable conference.

The AAC is better in basketball than the SEC
