How much longer does this guy have? He's currently made the tournament 4 times...lost in the first round twice, lost in the second round twice.

Since at Memphis:

'09-'10 - 24-10
'10-'11 - 25-10
'11-'12 - 26-9
'12-'13 - 31-5
'13-'14 - 24-10
'14-'15 - 18-14
'14-'16 - Currently 16-13

And if he is, look for Pearl to be the top candidate to replace him.

He could do some damage there.

Lol at Memphis thinking they deserve a good program.

I'm not huge on Josh, but you have a fricking trash program. Cal is a fraud.

UNLV or Memphis?

They are about the same. Wait, no they're not.

RIP Tark

that fedex cash can be big, for a coach who knows what he's doing.

pastner coached teams are always fundamentally poor, just horrible decisions, game after game. Bad shot after shot.

I think I would honestly take Jones over Pastner.

Pastner is one of the worst coaches ever.

Glad to see you are an idiot in multiple topics. Memphis basketball is bigger than just the Calipari era.

They have a ton of good local talent, have an absolutely diehard fan base, play in one of the nicest NBA arena's in the country, and just got a brand new practice facility.

Pastner is a disaster in basically every sense of the word. He has far and away underperformed with their level of talent comparatively to anyone in the country since he took over.

Memphis would have to pay $10m just to fire Pastner, then they would have to pay $4m to Auburn just to hire him on top of the large salary he would likely desire.

Memphis is strapped for cash right now. No way they can pay all of that.

Rumor going around is that Penny Hardaway would be the guy.

I need to find the actual study that one of the local radio guys here quoted, but it sounded like it wasn't even close between Josh and any other coach.

Jones at least has some big wins during his tenure during the regular season. Pastner doesn't even have really any of those.

Wow, what coaching experience does he have? That would be awesome.

He's been coaching HS and has sponsored an AAU team the last few years.
