No, if you recall anything about the initial investigation, Paterno was made aware of the rape, and all he did was pass the message to his superiors. He, the legendary coach who ruled the university and town, could have stopped the rape of children, but he chose not to. That is undisputed.

I'm willing to wait for more confirmation.

However, you have to understand that these subhuman creatures have no credibility.

In 2002, they witnessed a child being raped in a shower, and none of them said, "Let's immediately find the child and make sure he's safe." That completely boggles my mind.

Instead, they only worried about their stupid legacies. frick them.

Which he was supposed to do

He was not a mandated reporter and he had no first hand knowledge

McQueary waited 24 hours to report it also if you remember

He reported to his superiors which by law he was required to do

He did tell the campus police

He can't suspend someone not employed by the athletic dept in 02

He was a tenured employee and he does not control access the school does.

Who cares. They told there superiors.

So, Tjgator, let's get this straight

Your child's baseball coach hears his assistant is raping your child. He tells the director of your little league, but keeps allowing that assistant to coach and hang around your child and other kids.

You cool with the coach right TJ? No hard feelings dawg, you told the league director right?

He did what he was obligated to do. It's not his fault his bosses covered it up.

So Joe Paterno is told of allegations against one of his assistants, and decided to only tell his boss, and do no investigation and if found to be true, fire his assistant who perpetrated this?

OK.

I knew you would be in here defending him once again. The other Paterno could have done was NOT LET SANDUSKY IN THE FOOTBALL BUILDING AROUND CHILDREN AFTER HE "RETIRED"

That is what he's supposed to do. He wasn't the AD or President. You can argue his morality but he did what he was supposed to do.
How about tell the police(the REAL police, not the campus dipshits who he owned anyway). How about tell child protective services, or at the very least:

>FIRE THE frickER WHO IS MOLESTING CHILDREN IN YOUR frickING LOCKER ROOM

**In all of this, knowing this, and knowing the facts about Sandusky, JoePa at the Alamo Bowl makes this particularly damning for JoePa

I feel for JoePas wife and kids. I understand their denial. But fans and other people defending him need a mental evaluation

Maybe the first time but what about years later after the 5th and 6th accusations? By that point you know, all BS aside?

It sucks this didn't break years before it did. Paterno should have had to live with this shame longer than he did.

Yep. He never had to deal with his sins. I honestly view Paterno worse than I view a lot of murderers

Of course he did. It's why he'd be burning in hell if it was real.

I want to reflexively say PSU just has terrible people for fans, but then I realize they're just doing what any major college fanbase would do in that situation.

If this exact same story came out involving Alabama and Nkck Saban, Penn State fans would be telling him to burn in hell and Bana fans would find ways to defend it. It's just the twisted nature of diehard sports fandom.

Penn State fans just look bad because it happened to them and not the rest of us.

Do you even know what and why the claim was made and the purpose of the proceeding?

I mean shite, we have Paterno truthers and then pitch fork crowd who believe every allegation without proof. Two horrible sides and pitch fork crowd is no better than absolute Paterno defenders.

What happened to middle ground in America? The truth is always in the middle.

You do understand that he didn't control who had access as Sandusky was tenured and the school gave him access.

I'm not defending the morality but the legality. I have never said he was morally right, but he did do what was legally required.

I disagree for LSU. That is one thing we do well as a fanbase. We don't turn people into dietys. Go watch the rant. Once you screw up, we are more than willing to turn on you. Hell, Jamarcus never really did anything that bad and people still disowned him. We also disowned our only heisman winner for decades just for making fake money
