I am ok with 1-3 as of now although I think PSU is overrated as frick.
UGA should be 4 and Miami should be 5 or vice verse. It’s stupid imo to reward losers like Texas and Clemson over winners no matter who they lost to.
FSU being top 10 is a joke. They looked good but bama looked like a 8-4 team also at best

Same although they both looked really good imo especially auburn. It’s hard to sparse out for FSU because bama looked horribly slow and coached on defense and after their first scripted drive on offense Bamas qb looked terrified

They still have to play Miami, Clemson and Florida. We’ll find out what they are. That’s true about all the top 10 teams.
IMO, if you’re going to have rankings at the beginning of the season, they should have wild volatility because we don’t know anything about anyone yet. As the season progresses, that’s when the rankings should settle.

Correct. He is ok with UGA being ranked 5, after playing mighty Marshall, but it’s a bridge too far for FSU to be 10 after beating Bama

Then they should’ve ranked FSU at least in the top 25 pre season if you wanted to justify them swinging all the way into the top 10 after beating what I think everyone agrees looks like an extremely shaky Bama team.
And to Lsupride yes, I am ok with teams like UGA and others being ranked where they are an FSU shouldn’t be in the top 10. UGA just for one example won the SEC last year and has a proven track record of success. FSU won two games last year. If you must do early season rankings I think you should take into account precedent as well as the results. I mean Lsupride if we are using your logic shouldn’t Texas and Clemson be unranked?

I would be fine with Texas and Clemson being unranked. We should rank teams on want they have actually done. Period. By week 10 or so they will make sense
