Future superstar.

They better have a detailed injury clause though.

How is this a good gamble with his injury history?

I have a feeling this will be a lot of dead money for them at some point.

That's great for a guy, year-to-year you aren't sure if he will be able to walk, much less play basketball.

its a 15mil/yr risk if only 50% is guaranteed.

No different than the pelicans paying asik and ajinca 15mil, if he cannot stay healthy its like 15% of the cap. If he plays well, you get a superstar for his going price.

Not a gamble for sixers. They will pay insurance premiums for him either way. The risk is for the insurance provider.

Don't get this one. Not like you couldn't ink it after the season. Aren't you only allowed X number of these? Wouldn't you at least want to see if he can stay healthy or what you have in Fultz/Simmons?

Disagree. This is how a non-destination franchise secures elite talent.
