This. That PSU poster sounds like a complete retard.
He makes a decent point about how much worse it is for Shultz to be involved in sweeping this under the rug due to his position as over seer of the campus cops, but it in no way should be used to try and mitigate Paterno's involvement.
ETA: It actually makes it look more like an organized cover up as opposed to looking the other way and hoping the issue went away.

Mauti played for the Saints.
I believe his son is on the team.

I guess I just consider anyone trying to defend any of those guys as retards or at the very least ignorant fanboys.
There is no excuse for what happened. End of story. That whole administration needs to be fired.

Not a fanboy and I've been here for years. I'm not just here to blow smoke up my alma mater's arse.

With this being Paterno's last game at home, bet the house on PSU.

Paterno is going to pass away within 2 years from now. Football is what has been keeping him going. Book it.

i have a feeling sandusky may try and kill himself before this all goes to trial

michael mauti is from mandeville and basically the star of the PSU team. Lester Earl and he are besties.

That explains a lot.

I would be surprised if he makes to the start of next season

He was still in charge of the entire campus police force
he oversaw their budget and payroll... he has no police training whatsoever. I'm as much a policeman as SChultz was.

It was messed up. Should be right size now.

So what year did you graduate?

This.
Bear didn't make it a year after he retired because he had nothing left to live for.
JoePa COULD have had something left to live for if he retired several years ago. Things ending the way they have, though, means that he's persona non grata in most circles and it severely limits his post-coaching options.
That means he will have to make something for himself outside of football to spend his remaining time and I don't think he has it in him.

I'd be willing to say Sandusky was still coaching when I was there.
