He may not have the power of Fournette
The shiftiness of Cook
The speed of ______
etc etc

But he's the overall best back in this class. His combination of vision, footwork, speed, power, and instincts make him the most polished, most NFL-ready, and best back.

He may be a POS and I'm definitely not excusing his past but he's a damn good talent. The team who mans up and grabs him will likely be getting a steal because he is a top 10 talent. If I'm ranking the top 3 running backs it's Mixon, Fournette, then Cook.

For those who want proof, just watch his game tape. Watch how patient he is in his runs and the effortless cuts he makes. His footwork is impeccable. He reads blocks like no other back in this class. He then combines the footwork, vision, and instincts with good speed and power and he becomes absolutely lethal. The dude is just a badass football player.

ETA: forgot to mention this, the dude is basically Le'veon Bell after weight loss. He's that good

There is no way he will go in the first round

Scouts might think he has first round talent but he will drop

And be a steal

Won't be surprised if he goes in the 3rd round at the earliest and there are going to be only a limited amount of teams willing to take a risk on him. It could be a great steal for someone if they don't mind dealing with PR bullshite.

I would have loved to see Cook and Fournette against Big 12 defenses on an almost weekly basis.

Ya gotta go with the fists of Ray Rice here when comparing football players.

Funny how all the NFL scouts disagree with you. They are only experts, after all. As noted, let the other two carry the ball 25 times against the Big 12's so called defenses. Not saying he's not good, he is. But he's also into beating up females.

Meh - Fournette sucked against Bama each time he played them. Other than them, SEC defenses are nothing special.

NCAA rushing defense rankings

SEC = 5 in top 38
Big 12 = Oklahoma is tops at #55

Yep. Nothing special save for a much harder test than what Mixon faced.

Mixon is very talented, but he has never carried the load like Cook or Fournette. He also played far worse competition.

21% of his 2016 rushing yards came against Texas Tech, who had the 5th worst rushing defense by YPC in the country.

this is a good thing he has going for him, actually. Less mileage.

And 33% of Fournette's this year came against Ole Miss, 9th worst ypc in the country.
When you pick stats to make your point, make sure it doesn't apply to the person you're making the argument for.

If Mixon weren't a POS, he'd be going in the first round for sure. Definitely behind Fournette, but possibly ahead of Cook.

Mixon would put up a better fight against Mayweather than McGregor would/will.
