Did anyone else catch him get burned while talking to an in-game mic’ed up Francisco Lindor?
Preface: Joe Buck was talking to Lindor as he was waiting for the first pitch. Lindor is greeting/talking to the umpires in the field. Before the first pitch, Lindor shakes the hand of an ump who asks how he’s doing.
Joe Buck: Uhhh that umpires name is Tom if you didn’t know
Lindor: Yeah... I knew that...

It feels like people go out of their way to criticize Buck who is very good at both football and baseball. Arguably the best there is at baseball.

Buck is an arrogant prick. I hate when he does games with Aikman because he tries to mimic his voice and parrot what he says. Aikman occasionally catches him doing it and will intentionally say something he knows he isn’t correct, buck will parrot him and then Aikman corrects him.

I can’t watch Buck/Aikman games. They’re a terrible pairing and I’ve never understood why anyone would think they sound good together.

Yeah, I've always found him to be funny and charismatic during interviews, guest appearances, or just about anywhere outside of a pressbox. But he somehow manages to bore the hell out of me when he calls a game.
I guess I actually like him better doing baseball than football. That might have more to do with Smoltz and Aikman though.
