I don't know nor care if he did steroids, but you're nuts if you think all of a sudden, he got THAT much better in 1 year with only 1 change, starting steroids.

That doesn't make any sense. Even if that was the year he started juicing, there's still a level of off the charts improvement that simply can't be all the result of steroids. So yea, he did have a "late bloom" on some level, not sure that can even be argued.

same can be said about him getting THAT much better without steroids. I think that is the point. Nobody thinks he didn't up his weightlifting, diet, and training to prepare for the NFL.

JJ Watt has the special juice that no one else has. That's why he's so good. Went from scrub to best defensive player of our generation because of steroids. Wouldn't have even made the league without them. Once Watt's special formula gets out, can you imagine how badass NFL defenses are going to be?

Well, that's kinda my point.

LE insinuated it could be attributed to when he started juicing and basically scoffed at the notion it was just a freak thing/late blossom type deal. I'm saying, it's more of an unexplainable freak thing EVEN if he started juicing that offseason. Steroids has never made a player that much better that much quicker, just all of a sudden like that.

Why are you acting like he sucked before he got to the NFL? He was the 11th overall pick in the draft and the #2 DE taken. He was an All-American, won the Lott Trophy, and had some of the best combine numbers.

Who cares what his sack totals were in College, he was dominant at Wisconsin and was a mid first round pick. Its not like he was a relatively unknown coming out of Wisconsin.

Yeh, seriously. No one has ever gone from a "walk on scrub" to the best player in an entire sport simply because of steroids. If so every accountant and garbage man would be sticking needles in their arse right now

At 11, I would call him a early first round pick.

I'm more confused why it's so hard for some people to give him credit for being an absolute stud. It always devolves in a steroid discussion, as if a shitload of other defensive players in the NFL aren't on juice.

What makes him head and shoulders the best defensive player in the league? Surely it's not just the juice.

The guy works harder than probably anyone else in the league. The problem? He lets you know about it. If it were only his work ethic that made him a beast, I wouldn't have a problem with it. But the fact that he acts like all his success has to do with everything he does EXCEPT use enhancers just comes across as toolish.

When does he do this? And do you expect him to admit to PED use?

"Although I work my arse off day in and day out, although I have a motor that's unsurpassed in the NFL, and although I have a god given talent for this sport, I would really like to thank steroids for my success."

ETA: So much negativity surrounding this dude.

So you think he's the only player on steroids? Why hasn't it made everyone else this good?

This same question has been raised numerous times in this thread but has been ignored.
