re: Jimbo benched one of his best WRs for wearing arm sleeves today

When I was with the team with Miles, anyone that may carry a ball was not allowed to wear any type of sleeves. The sleeves creat separation from the body making it easier to fumble. No matter how cold it was, sleeves were not allowed. Many coaches still continue this no matter what. Look at Ohio states rb and wr in the snow last night. Honestly this is on the player and not Jimbo. The players Know this and he did it knowing it wasn’t allowed.

But this dude has been wearing the sleeves repeatedly over the past 2 years?
Not disagreeing with your point, just strange that here we are deep in the season and it becomes an issue.

I'm not sure how to feel about this as a Kentucky fan. We have some great young WR's, but they wont' stay if we don't get a quality QB, and some Olinemen in the portal. Rumor is they are already being reached out to by players on other teams trying to get them to consider a transfer after the UL game.
I wouldn't blame them. We need to replace most all of our coaching staff, and that will take time.

So a coach has a rule and the player intentionally breaks the rule.
3-7 Jimbo roasted for disciplinary action
9-1 Jimbo praised for running a tight ship.

I agree, but why was Moose playing with the sleeves earlier in the season without issue?
Seems like this “rule” has been poorly enforced and that’s a leadership issue.

You usually aren’t needing to make these sort of tight disciplinary moves when you’re winning or have a good culture.
If Jimbo had either of those things, his top WR likely wouldn’t be looking to cross any lines and wouldn’t protest that much after being told he needs to remove it.
But when you lose the locker room and the losses pile up, players begin to question why tf they came here and why any of it matter when the process doesn’t lead to success.

Perhaps is a “newer” rule after they keep playing like shite and/or fumbling. Or perhaps the first couple times he received a warning and finally had to sit him when he continued to break the rule.

My guess is that he didn’t come out in sleeves and Jimbo benched him.
He came out in sleeves, was told not to wear them and had something to say so he got benched.

Yes why not just take them off?

wouldn’t think it would affect catching although I could see it being easier to strip.
That's the only thing that makes sense. But I'm not even sure that's really true.
Did his father usually play in the NFL with sleeves? I don't want to google pictures of Muhammed.

So true. The whole thing seems like a really strange hill to die on for everyone involved.
Like others have said, it’s a sign of culture decay in the locker room.

Was it actual long sleeves, nba sleeves, or the Kamara tape?
I would definitely never wear long sleeves if it was wet or icy. Sleeves get wet and stick to your skin. Just tough it out for a few minutes, go to the sideline and throw on a heated jacket.

Hes probably been warned before. Coaches probably sick of the lack of accountability

Can you blame jimbo? Why go through all the crap you have to go through to coach when you can sit back with millions of unearned money and drink a beer or two on you porch…..

It's probably the opposite. Jimbo was bending rules while they were ranked and competitive.

In this new era it will be interesting to see their off season. Despite all the money, a disaster like this has to have a lasting impact, and a lot of raw talent will likely go other places.

Probably this. I’m no Jimbo fan, but I could see him being told before, finally receiving consequences, then running to social media to make it look like Jimbo was just singling him out.

It's very stupid that he didn't just take them off but he wore them at minimum against Bama, Miss St, and Florida from an image search. Even if he's breaking the rule everytime it's weird to draw the line at this point.
