Only way Ryan can throw a TD at the goal line is a shovel

Jets have been super close on a few turnovers this game. If they want any chance, they can't let any more get away.

Pass was to a player behind the LoS, though.

Shovel pass behind the line of scrimmage negates the downfield penalty, correct?

Might be one of the best tackles by a kicker ever.

Used to hate when Mort would have to make a tackle and he would dive 4 yards away from the returner.

can you still have Offensive PI? Graham got called for something in the Atlanta game last season when the ball was thrown behind the LOS

If it is, then Drew Brees' TD record should still be going.

What? A pass is a pass. But like in the instance of the screen, since it's behind the LOS, the offensive linemen can release early and not get flagged.

I think the difference is whether the lineman was engaged as a blocker or not. In the NFL, he can be past the LOS on a pass behind it but cannot make contact until after the catch.
