I love how I've made that exact same post in basically every single thread about whitlock over the past couple of years and this is literally the first time it's gotten a large backlash

You shouldn't be surprised considering.

we all know why to dude. we all know why

He conveyed my beliefs about all of that in a way I couldn't. Props to him.

Oh, for frick’s sake.
Jeremy Lin didn't find it funny how Whitlock openly degraded Asians & still had a broadcasting career.

Congrats for self admittedly not being able to find a woman that will sleep with you. At least you have TD and looters to support.

His belief in no way diminishes the cause of supporting justice for George Floyd.
All four cops are in f*cking jail and will be for a LONG TIME. They were arrested and OVERCHARGED in record time.
How much more f*cking "justice" do they want for George Floyd?
Why no "justice" for Tony Timpa?

Gross statement.

agree with wholeheartedly and glad he's brave enough to point out the irony in "anti-fascists" being fascist.
I always enjoyed the irony in this. Oh conservative speaker coming to speak on a college campus...let’s torch the building across the street and not allow it to happen...Because frick Fascism!!!!

Whitlock years ago was a columnist for the KC Star and he was unafraid to give controversial opinions....he hasn't changed at all so he's not going after a niche. I don't always agree with him but this isn't some orchestrated plan.
This.
It's laughable to suggest he's simply pandering for a niche audience now. That's exactly the type of social media scoreboard mentality he's talking about. Sincere opinions and civil discourse be damned.

Maybe counter the rationale instead of posting an unfunny gif, hack.

I just said last week he was going to go after a niche audience to guarantee him an audience. If this plays well I expect Alt-Right Whitlock to go full swing
Yes defending one’s position of standing for his country’s anthem is “alt-right”

I don’t think you understand 2020 news & how someone like Whitlock stays relevant

Exactly, most if not all true debate has been squashed at least as far as socio-political arguments surrounding sports go - you take the wrong side you are fired or are afraid to voice them out of fear of being fired. I know for a fact there are folks at ESPN who'd like to voice a different opinion but they know it would be career suicide, not just right now but anytime.
Then all who are left to debate are those like us on forums like this hiding behind a keyboard in anonymity whose posts are cherry-picked for the worst and used as "see this is what they are like" glimpses to reinforce the one-sided agenda.
It's a sad and frustrating reality.
