I heard on the radio this morning that Houston requested the NBA have a "redo." They literally said that Houston asked to change it or replay the last 7 minutes or so of the 4th (which is when it happened, I guess.)

It sounded like it was satire, I'm hoping it's not though. Anyone hear about this?

Referees across all sports at all levels have become a joke. But they cry when coaches argue with them, and post facebook videos of them walking off the field when someone calls them short, but they deserve every bit of criticism they get.

Yes and the league has done it before so it's not unheard of

How about the Rockets not blow a 22 point second half lead against a 7-14 team missing their best player instead of whining and acting like one missed call with over 7 minutes left cost them the game.

In football this would be a bigger deal, but in an 80 plus game season, accept the loss, figure out why you gave up the lead, and move on.

If the officials did not follow proper protocol, they’d have a case. The officials followed protocol, so this request will he denied.

Several years back the final couple minutes of a months-old game were replayed because a foul total was miscalculated when it was originally played. A player was disqualified for his fifth foul (counted sixth), so the error in bookkeeping predicated the replay down the road.

They have?

I'd understand them giving Harden an extra bucket if it didn't matter and they won/lost by 5+

The final score was 133-135. Have they ever brought teams back out to "replay" the finish? Seriously asking

It was the heat vs hawks. Shaq got awarded a 6th foul he didn't have.

Looking back even further it happened in 82 as well. Also involving the Spurs

2 points in regulation weren't counted in a game that went to overtime. It is a big deal.

I don't mind opening that door.

With that in mind, can the refs go back and review some of the bullshite fouls that were called on players that were guarding Harden and take back some of the 24 free throws he was gifted?

He rebelled by shooting 68,346 free throws in the 4th quarter.

Rockets are assuming that everything thereafter would have gone the same way as it eventually did. That’s not the case.

If that's the case, there would be a lot of protesting games just based off the Two Minute Reports.

The refs reported they missed an offensive foul on Dwight Howard in the Mavs first game against the Lakers that allowed Danny Green to send the game into OT. Can we protest that and get credited for a win then?

They had a chance to review the play, they failed to, move on and stop crying about it

All the referees involved should be suspended 25 games.

Not seeing the play - somewhat understandable
Wish there was a process to correct this - There is - It’s called replay - refs did not allow it
Once they realized they should allow it - They stated Dantoni waited too long.

All of that is unacceptable and therefore 25 game suspension should be the floor.

If he waited too long, that's on him.

The NBA shouldn't break protocol and allow a challenge outside of the 30 second window if the rule is it needs to be challenged in the 30 second window.
