Well I disagree. You have played 13 of the last 19 at home, where for the season you outside opponents by over 5 points per game but get outscored by over a point on the road. Role players tend to play better at home so if there is any stretch where injuries would be somewhat lessened, it would be during a stretch with more than twice as many home games as away games.

Well considering that’s a major part of their games and they put up a lot of shots, being a better shooter is probably a bit more important than anything else.

Either way they’re pretty close. I just think Steph is better, and you think Harden is better.

In all my years of watching and analyzing the game of basketball, there is nothing about Harden's game that even implies he's a better defender than Steph hell he's probably worse in many respects. Steph might not be a great defender but he's a smart defender in his ability to make plays and disrupt/compensate almost like Larry Bird would do, can't summarily dismiss him on the court in that respect, just great anticipation. As far as Harden's concerned, I've never seen that dude play a lick of defense, just all offense, maybe I need to pay more attention there.

lol he couldn't do it by himself so he teamed up with the 3rd best player in the world and a top 3 power forward along with some of the best power forward. Then when they got old he went back to Cleveland where they had a top 5 closer and another all-star pf. Funny none of those dudes you mentioned ever did shite without elite teammates. MJ had Pippen but nobody is sitting here saying Harden is MJ.

How many of them would have pushed the warriors to 7 games last year? Put Bird or Magic in his place, are they getting the same results? LeBron won ONE game in 2 playoff series against the 4 all star warriors and one of those years he had 2 all star side kicks.

Seriously, I am not taking anything away from those players but you mention those legends without mentioning how loaded their teams were. Your argument is dumb as hell but it's par for the course around here. He's playing at a historic level right now, it's a fact.

Ok, so are we going to ignore Curry’s best attribute outside of his shooting, which is his off ball movement? Or do you not pay attention to that?

That was a game that'll stick with Harden for the rest of his career. That sounds dramatic and unfair, and it's probably both of those things, but it's also just a fact. Every time Harden does something incredible over the next few years, someone will bring up Thursday night's loss to the Spurs. Every time someone calls him an MVP candidate, someone will use Game 6 to discount his case. Every time someone calls him a top-five player—a perfectly reasonable claim—someone will laugh out loud and pull up highlights of Harden staggering around on national television and getting blown out DejounteMurray and Jonathon Simmons. Half the fun in following basketball is getting way too serious about completely meaningless, wildly subjective arguments, and Harden just gave the whole world a talking point that'll be tough to refute.
