I mean maybe, just maybe, juuuuuussssssttttt maybe, they asked for future earnings?

He was a third stringer at the time, so highly unlikely. The discussion would be unethical and depending on context illegal. So a whole of what ifs and maybes to risk your law career over someone who at the time was a nobody.

An attorney would not go through TMZ. They would go through a major news channel

TMZ pays for dirt.

Just making sure.

I guess we're just different. When I have no clue what I'm talking about, I don't act like an authority on the matter.

Actually the claim that she was raped comes from the girl and not her lawyer.

You're reasoning is totally flawed because she reported this back in 2012, when he wasn't even the starting QB yet.

Still you keep saying she's a money-grubber which is really totally flawed.

If any of this were true (about the 7 mill.) I'm sure that both attorneys would at least have paperwork on it. These settlements deals are not just done with hand shakes.

They have many clauses and confidentiality agreements.

So the lack of any documentation tells me this is spin from Winston's attorney.

I apologize for the F you, it's just that I am so angry. I kid, but you did fire the first salvo across my bow. That said I was wrong and we should be able to discuss on these forums without such. So my bad.

The alleged request for money did not come until November of the following year when Jameis was already the Heisman favorite and star...

Well if you can assume the 7 mil isnt true, he can assume it is. IF it is true then it proves shes a money grabber. Only because she waited until after he became big time to demand it.

The civil pursuit of millions doesn't have to be exactly timed with the accusation, you silly goose.
She saw him become a superstar and all of a sudden her accusation was potentially worth dollars, which she pursued.

So again, she put ALL of this into motion prior to ANYONE knowing who the frick Winston was on the chance that he would become a superstar and potentially worth millions?

Again, she attempted criminal justice and it went nowhere thanks to the police/fsu apparently fricking up the investigation.... Now, supposedly, she is going after them civilly.

She is an opportunist, not some genius who planned all of this out.

We now know there is lack of documentation?

I understand what you are saying. But I think her initial claim was because of embarrassment/anger and that is why it was dropped, not because of police covering up a rape. But we will never agree on that so no use arguing back and forth

Why is it so hard to understand she saw that Winston's superstar status was worth money, and she wanted a piece of that?

She saw that Winston was a big-time athlete and wanted to get some hush money from the situation after the fact. Her silence was worth money at that point.

When she asks for a huge payout after not perusing any sort of trial beforehand. Its clear she was trying to profiteer on Winston's fame.

My theory:

She fricks JW. She has buyer's remorse for whatever reason (I think we all know what it is) and makes an extremely flimsy rape allegation. The initial interviewing detective sees the holes in her story and almost zero chance the SAO will proceed with the case and tries to tell her nicely the case is going nowhere...

...fast forward to next November and JW is the hottest story in college football. NOOOOOOOOW dad and the girl start seeing $$$ and scream cover-up on the criminal case. Meanwhile, her attorney contact's JW's people with the "$7 big ones will make all your problems go away" offer.

Not that difficult to comprehend.
