I mean burrow does have 8 losses this year and most likely wont make the playoffs. Browning could have done this.

Wait. You’re saying browning would have this team in this same spot if he started all season? That’s what you’re saying?

Wait. Wait. You’re really saying that…….?

that’s what he appears to be saying

With Browning they would have a top 10 pick instead of (technically) having a shot at the playoffs with 1 game left.

I see watching the Dennis Allen led Saints these past few years, has completely torched your football IQ. And instead of trying to save it, you left it for dead.

Good Lord Dude. Learn fricking Ball. It’s damn near 2025 now. There is zero excuse to still be this retarded about ball.

I knew someone would bring up the win/loss record. The Bengals have lost 4 games where they scored over 30.

It's a unique feature of this board that extenuating circumstances only get brought into consideration when it's Jeaux being discussed. Dan Marino? Gets marked down because he never won a SB. Matty Ice? Same. Jeaux? "His defense is horrendous* and Zac Taylor's play calling°!"

Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying Jeaux's not great. It's the rank hypocrisy and complete lack of awareness by the fanboy Swamptards that amuses me.

*Miami's defenses under Tom Olivadotti were brutal

°The same play calling, by the way, that has allowed Jeaux to amass the stats that have the fanboys ending statements with phrases such as "...and it's not even close."

Another unique feature is to apply a certain viewpoint or comment to everyone if it neatly fits your narrative.

Not by me, I’m one of the first to not hold the QB responsible for team results. I have stated this many times, check the HOF thread where I argue against Eli. I’m not a Dolphins fan but Marino was one of my favorite players as a kid. Whether you believe this or not his 5084 in 1984 was a sacred record to me that I did not want to see broken until in was Brees that ultimately broke it, a FB memory popped up the other day saying that. A top 10 QB no doubt and his 84 season still a top 5 season, i often wonder what he could do now with more lax rules and better offense systems. Pretty sure it was Peter King late of SI that started the Marino 0-17 in SB nonsense.

quote:

Matty Ice? Same.

Despite being a Falcon I have defended Ryan many times especially about the SB, not his fault the defense collapsed, though the Patriots rally started with a sack fumble. Borderline HOFer not in the top tier of QBs imo like Marino but that’s not because he never won a SB. FFS as a rookie he took them to the playoffs ATL was 4-12 the year before. Try again.

It’s also worth noting Marino and Ryan’s careers are over, both played 15+ years, Burrow is in year 5, time will tell if he wins or gets back to a SB or if he’s this generations Marino and 1 SB year 2 is it.

Miami's defenses under Tom Olivadotti were brutal

No doubt and they didn’t exactly give Marino elite weapons either.

There's some posters here who get off on being contrarians about Burrow. It's weird

What amuses me is that people come to an LSU board* and then act surprised that LSU fans defend the greatest player in LSU history.

And again don’t confuse different arguments from different people. Peter King saying Marino was 0-17 in Super Bowls is a different argument than saying Cincinnati has a terrible defense in 2024.

I hate that our sports culture now bashes greats for not only not winning but not winning immediately. I remember most people were rooting for Elway to finally win, they were rooting for Dr J to win one. Now they would be bashed for taking so long to win. We used to never hear anyone question Ted Williams greatness because he never won a WS. Frankly I think it devalues championships if anything short is deemed “failure”.

* (don’t give me the MSB is not LSU, TD is and the majority of accounts/posters are from LSU or at least Louisiana).

He really wasn’t especially considering Burrow was hurt all year and they beat the Browns week 18 when the Browns rested their starters to go 4-3 with Browning starting vs 5-5 with Burrow.

It was an obvious troll or a clown take, either way it was stupid last year and looks markedly worse after this season

Trollollolls

They also can't comprehend that you can be a Saints fan and want Burrow/Chase to do well. I think the vast majority of LSU fans root for the Saints while rooting for former Tigers to shine - especially the guys who were superstars while they were here (Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Daniels, BTJ, etc.)

This isn't trolling.

Trolling is clever.

Diddler is just a retard trying to hump a doorknob.
