Texas didn't even need him this season

I did see on the preview for tonight's game that the kid they have replacing him is 4-1 and has 6 pitches he uses from 4% to 29% of the time and he has done well against some good teams.

That means 7 innings of 1 run ball vs. the Cardinals tonight - fml.

Forever a Met but damn

Hate to see it happen, but glad he is gone and not a Met any more.

Good luck on a speedy recovery Jake

My guess is he returns late season next year in a bullpen role, maybe closer.

And then stretch him out again to be a starter in 2025.

I Don’t feel sorry for Rangers fans. Head back down to the bottom of the division standings.

someone on radio earlier said for those who have had 2 TJS, only about 20% of them return to prior effectiveness

and the rehab is slower getting to that point

I don’t think I’ve ever seen “forearm tightness” not result in TJ.

McCullers… fighting the good fight post TJ surgery #1 with his 5 games pitched in the last 2 Septembers and then “rehab” the other 11 months

Rangers are 24-9 since DeGrom went out in April. That's a .727 winning percentage. They just won 5 in a row and are 8-2 in their last 10 games.

The loss of DeGrom hasn't hurt the Rangers. So far their bullpen has done well.
