I had an opportunity to hangout with Bisping. He was one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. He was nothing like the guy you see in the build up for his fights.

You guys do realize kung fu and karate are BS martial arts right? Like if Jackie Chan got in the octagon in his prime, hitting on the ground or not, he would get demolished, like not even close. Especially against someone who trains in BJJ. This was proven 25 years ago during UFC 1. I like Jackie Chan and he is a badass but lets realistic here. I mean I always knew this site was retarded but god damn.

When it comes to some topics on this site, people aren't retarded because they know the topic.
But when it comes to the topic of martial arts on this site, the vast majority of posters are totally clueless yet think they know what they're talking about.

lol I thought soccer moms and 8 year olds were the only ones who believed Karate was legit. Hell I thought only my fogey old grandpa was the only one that thought Jackie Chan was a legit fighter and not just an actor. Man I can't believe you people walk amongst us.

I know it isn’t effective the only effective martial arts are BJJ, Muay Thai, Boxing and Wrestling. Everything else is irrelevant.

MMA is a work like professional wrestling. It's a more "realistic" version of professional wrestling, but MMA is like pro wrestling.
What I like about pro wrestling is that the hardcore ultra-violent style is not meant to knock someone out it's about hardcore and violence that allows for the health and safety of the wrestler. You don't have that in MMA.

What rules are they fighting under? If it is under MMA rules sure the MMA guy wins. If it is under Karate rules the MMA would get destroyed and most likely disqualified because he would have the ability to fight under Karate rules.
This is the exact reason why Mayweather would only fight McGregor in a boxing ring. If they fought under MMA Mayweather wouldn't make it through one round.

There are many mma fighters whose original base and style comes from karate or TKD. The problem is a lot of places teach movements but don't openly spar. Raymond Daniels Wonderboy Thompson MVP in bellator. Even McGregor's side ways stance is taken more from a karate or TKD base.
