Down 18 to 12-17 Brown in semifinals

So a bubble team is getting left out

Huh?

I can’t see how this impacts bubble teams.

All Ivy League schools shouldn't keep scores on their games in the name of equity.
Each team goes to the tournament equally on a rotational format.

Princeton wasn’t getting in without winning

Besides Cornell has an almost equally impressive record

The only small conference team that is fighting it out for an at large spot because they lost is Indiana State

If you are a one bid league you entire regular season is practice.

You play one weekend of basketball that matters.

Every tournament outside the P5 should be the like Southland. 1 and 2 advance directly to the semi finals and everyone else has to battle their way there, so they are worn down before they get there. You have to make your regular season matter. If the 1 and 2 seed lose at that point, it’s on them.

These conferences should want to do everything they can to have their top team representing them.

I agree with you but 8 of the last 10 conference tournament champs have been 1 seeds (including Vermont).

And the only two conferences that had 1 seeds lose had very mediocre 1 seeds

Earlier in the week, Indiana State had 2 great teams in their conference and lost to the other

Same with App State losing to James Madison.

Now my opinion is that both App State and Indiana Stare should get in over a 12 loss Mountain West side or a mediocre major conference team, but that’s neither here nor there.

I feel bad for teams who dominate the regular season and drop a game in the tournament and have to miss it

I don’t think it’s really that fair, but that’s just me

Its been a joke for a longtime for small Conferences.

Back in the 90s some WCC team would go 25-2 or some SWAC regular season champ..lose in the Conference tournament final and get left out while the ACC would get most of their Conference in the tournament...with 8-10 teams.

I think Princeton has shown from history that the Ivy isn't playing bullshite basketball... I mean they did almost beat #1 Georgetown in the 80s, and did beat defending champs UCLA...and other Ivies have had runs like,Cornell...

its still weird that, the committee is still in this major vs. Mid-major vs. Ivy mindset where teams have to win their stupid tournament to get in while the regular season doesn't matter. It's been 40 years of bias towards the favored big name TV draws who get a total pass.

And Brown lost in the championship on a buzzer beater to Yale.
I see Yale and Grambling are both going to the to the tournament… two equally respected universities
