Same as last year but still made it to the championship game

And what happened? Same for literally every other national championship game they have undeservingly played in. They got destroyed. How many times does ND need to lose big games to prove it’s over for them? The average score in the BCS/Playoff games ND has been in is something like 36-13

Lose the committee and bring back the BCS formula

No it’s not going to be 100% perfect and the 13/14/15 teams will bitch every year but its miles better than the biased clowns in their hotel ballroom

You may not have watched last year‘s championship game, but the final score was 34 to 23. And Ohio State kicked a field goal with under a minute to play to extend it to 11 points.

Also, ND beat the crap out of Georgia in the Sugar Bowl.

Yeah saying ND didnt deserve to be there last year is pretty frickin laughable and i hate ND. By this boards logic it should be UGA vs ohio state every year. The rest of the country shouldnt even participate if they look at their schedule in the preseason and realize "damn we dont play enough ranked teams they're just going to put in a 3-4 loss sec team over us"

You don’t think the current process has a lot of subjectivity?

I think it certainly does, the committee is a joke. But the goal isn't to pick "the best" teams.

Vegas sports books are the best at predicting the quality of teams and outcomes.

Vegas isn't in the business of picking winners, but that's a whole different discussion. You can't simply rank teams based on what Vegas thinks. If that was the case you'd have 3-4 loss Alabama making the playoffs every year because they'd always be favored over an SMU or Tulane. That's dumb and boring, and again, goes against why sports exist.

There are endless examples of teams who weren't "the best" winning on the field.

That really wasn’t the point of my post but while we’re here. Teams can’t come back and make it competitive and/or win?

And you’re not going to give them any credit for whipping Georgia in the Sugar Bowl?

I agree that Notre Dame has in recent history been blown out in a lot of big games. I’m also smart enough to discern and realize that the coaches during that timeframe were - Bob Davie, Charlie Weiss, Tyrone Willingham, and Brian Kelly. All 4 are absolute clown coaches. Would you expect any different?

I think they’re in a different era right now under Freeman.

Its absolutely pathetic that people bent the knee to sky screamers and we have to actually act like Tulane, or Duke or Virginia or BYU belong/belonged to be anywhere near any of this

Game wasn’t competitive at all Ohio never left second gear after halftime. You clearly didn’t watch the game.

I get it, but I'm also very meh on some SEC teams like OU or a 3 loss Bama. Don't need to see even more of the conference in it. Do we really need like a 5th/6th SEC and B1G?

The fact that BYU was ranked 11th because of their “body of work” is absolutely laughable and is embarrassingly revealing as to how flawed the process is.

This schedule was absolutely terrible.

Exactly, do we really need to see multiple rematches of SEC and Big10 schools?

I'd rather watch someone like SMU get a shot than another SEC rematch.

Even if it's a blowout.

Oregon last season was such a retarded unforced error by them.

Huh? Oregon went undefeated. Beat Ohio State, and later Penn State to win the Big 10. How were they not deserving of being #1?

The goal should be to have the best 12 teams in the playoffs. It’s as simple as that.

If it's that simple. How do we determine who are the 12 based teams. Who are the 12 best teams this year and how did you come to that conclusion?
