I don’t know, are you going to spend the rest of the thread not actually saying anything?

Oh so you are, figured as much. You know there’s this whole conversation going on re:Ricky Henderson right? So do you have any perspective or insight to add or is it your MO to say nothing? Feel free to jump in anytime, the floor is yours

I was just giving another poster what to look for when they go back and forth with you. If you dont like it, maybe you should look inward

Ah so instead of attacking the argument, you chose to attack the person making the argument with irrelevant bullshite. So are you incapable of making an argument yourself or unwilling? And clearly I’ve said something along those lines to you before, so maybe you need to look inward as to why (this thread is a perfect example)

You are acting like I have any interest in your dumb argument to begin with. I was simply letting another poster know what to expect when arguing with you. You could very well decide to get back to talking about Ricky henderson and how much you dislike objective stats if you would like. I was never a part of that cause it's such a dumb take to have theres nothing to argue since its obvious

you clearly don't care at all....

because Lester Earl has never argued with me on here before. No, you said what you said to be an a-hole
quote:

how much you dislike objective stats

well, I didn't argue that, for starters. I said I think people are lazy and rely solely on stats like WAR when debating who's better or worse and can't look past it, which is exactly what happens on here

This is the part where you say why saying Henderson isn't a top 8 player is a dumb take.

In 6 of the 7 seasons Gwynn won a SS, he led the NL in Batting Avg and in the 7th he had the most runs and hits in MLB.

In 4 of Puckett’s 6 SS seasons he led the AL in hits. In the 5th he was 2nd in hits/rbis/tbs. In the 6th, he was leading the AL in rbis.

Any other shite arguments you want me to destroy or what?

correct, which are not power hitting numbers, which is what was argued..."those almost always go to power hitters/rbi guys"

I argued against what was said

Neither Kirby Puckett nor Tony Gwynn were power hitters or high volume RBI guys, yet they are among the a career leaders in SSs at their position Pucket had three seasons in his career with 100 RBIs and averaged fewer than 20 HRs a season. Gwynn never had more than 17 HRs in a season and only had double digit HRs 5 times in 20 seasons.

What’s the word I used before always? What does it mean?

Dudes who are known for walking and stealing bases don’t win SSs. Billy Hamilton could start trading out 30-40 SOs for Walks next year and become a quintessential lead off man but he still won’t sniff a SS because H/HR/RBIs win SSs not walks and SBs.
