Trout will be tGOAT when all is said and done.

Whether he ever gets a ring or not is a different story

These conversations are always fantastic.

Someone always has to be the “next ______”.

Has LAA even made the playoffs since he’s been there? I know they haven’t won a series at least....

Edit: they made it in 14. 0-3 in DS...

Baseball is probably the worst sport to consider championships when talking about individuals.

There’s is nothing about Trout that says all time great, much less GoaT.

Batters are going for the 3 true outcomes in their at bats at the highest rate all time in the game and he is the poster child for that, plus he gets an empty steal here and there so sabermetric guys beat off to him.

I’d say he’s the James Harden of MLB but Harden at least makes the playoffs regularly. So he’s the Devin Booker/KAT/Trae of MLB.

And here come the Trout cuck downvoters.

It’s very possible he gets to 5 or 6 MVPs, 10+ silver sluggers, 500 homers, 2000 +hits, 1000+ rbi, and 300+ stolen bases.

ETA: he doesn’t have a gold glove yet, but he’s up there every year so he’ll likely have a couple.

I’d say that’s all time great

Babe Ruth is the all-time career leader in SLG, OPS, and OPS+ and did all that in the dead-ball era. He also had a career BA of .342. and OBP of .474. Trout's career numbers right now aren't even close and is playing in an era where the ball is jumping like never before.

Remember around 2009 when Albert Pujols was the best player on the planet and people said he was going to be the greatest of all time? I remember that.

I still can’t tell if this constant Trout hate is a bit or not. If it is, I give you props. You straddle the line just enough to make it believable.
